Eletist Play Tunnel For Cats

This is a pretty simple cat play tunnel that I received at no charge in exchange for this review.

The tunnel has three tube sections, as pictured. It is a bit smaller than I thought it would be, but that could be a positive as well, in that it doesn't take up that much room. The material is "crinkly", and makes some noise as the cat (or cats) move through it. The play tunnel folds up into a fairly compact space, though it does not come with a bag to store it in, as some similar products do.

The cat that this tunnel was obtained for does seem to enjoy using it. She did pull the ball apart from the tunnel within a few minutes of being introduced to the tunnel, so don't plan on having the ball remain attached very long. 

Overall this is a pretty good product that the cat definitely enjoys using.

Vorfreude Cardiology Stethoscope

I received this stethoscope kit at no charge, in exchange for this review. Since I do not know how to use a stethoscope, rather than attempt to review this item myself, I asked my wife, a pediatric surgeon, to help with this review as she uses a stethoscope regularly in her practice. The following is what she had to say about it.

"This is a high quality stethoscope. The ear buds are comfortable and are a size that I imagine would fit most ears. The sound acoustics are clear and the different frequencies are obtained by altering the pressure on the diaphragm. This does take a bit of practice, but is not difficult to master. The stethoscope is a good weight to carry comfortably, and is sleek in design. The lifetime warranty on parts is a great feature, and the included pupil pen light is a great little addition. Overall I am very pleased with this stethoscope, and will use it routinely in patient care."

Azalco 6th Generation HD Virtual Reality Headset

I received this Virtual Reality headset at a significant discount, in exchange for this review. Although I have not used any VR headsets extensively, I have experience with a few others that I had received for review purposes. I can honestly say, without any reservation, that this one from Azalco is the best of those that I have tried.

The main reason I really like this VR headset is that my phone stays in it solidly, and I don't have any concerns about possibly scratching the phone's screen. I could not say that confidently about the other headsets I have tried. In fact one of them was so bad, my phone would not stay in place at all, rendering that headset useless to me.

The Azalco headset comes with a remote that can be connected to your phone via bluetooth. The remote allows for control in VR apps that require it. It can also be used to interact with a media player. It operates on two AAA batteries, and paired quickly with my phone.

The head straps adjust easily, and the headset is comfortable to wear, with ample padding around the eyes.

Also included in the package are a larger set of silicone pads, to attach to the bottom of the unit if they allow for a better fit with your device than the attached, thinner ones do. A screen cleaning cloth completes the package.

There may be better Virtual Reality headsets available, but if so, I have yet to try one. I am very pleased with all aspects of this headset.

Neodymium Bar Rare Earth Magnets

These are incredibly powerful magnets which I received at a significant discount in exchange for this review. I say that they are incredibly strong because I literally can not separate them now that I allowed them to attach to each other!

The fact that I now have one magnet and not two is 100% my own fault. The magnets were shipped in a well padded box, and had a plastic separator between them. I had no idea that the attraction would be so strong that I would not be able to separate them if I allowed them to connect.

The magnets are so strong, they actually scare me a little. I am being very cautious not to allow them near any computer, cell-phone, etc, for fear of damaging the data storage. These are STRONG magnets!

If you need a couple of incredibly powerful magnets, I can definitely recommend these.

KingYou In-Ear Stereo Metal Earbuds

I received these KingYou earbuds at a very significant discount, in exchange for this review. The photo above shows the color that I selected--rose gold--but these earbuds are also available in gold, red, and two shades of grey.

These earbuds (or headphones as some would call them) seem to function well. I am no audiophile, but the sound quality seemed fine to me. The one feature these earbuds lack is a volume control of any kind. There is a multi-function button that can be used to pause, skip to the next track, or go back to the previous track, but there is no volume slider, like ones I have seen on similar products. I would have rated these earbuds from KingYou five stars if they had included a volume slider. There is a microphone, near the multi-function button.

The earbuds come with a nice velvety pouch to store them in. They also come with a small cleaning cloth, and, perhaps most importantly, three sets of silicone earpieces, so that you may adjust the fit to your ears.

Overall I am pleased with the quality of these earbuds, which I believe are also priced pretty well. 

Q-Seedling Outdoor LED Chest Running Light

This LED Running Light from Q-Seedling, which I received at no charge in exchange for this review, appears to be a reasonably well-made, useful running light.

There is a bright white light on the front, and two sets of red lights on the back. The light includes a flexible elastic harness so that wearing the lights should be reasonably comfortable while running or walking.

The battery for the lights recharges using a basic USB-A to Micro-USB cable.

One concern I have with this warning light is that the row of red lights that is below the triangle symbol are actually there simply to indicate how well charged the unit is. When five of those LEDs are illuminated the battery is fully charged. When only one of those LEDs are illuminated, the battery is low, and needs to be recharged. I actually have two issues with this. The first is that the red lights will be worn on one's back, so you will not be able to see the status of the battery while actually using the product. The second issue is that dedicating a row of visible LEDs, that seem like they should be doing a job with respect to warning or illumination, to simply providing battery status seems wasteful to me, and does not represent the best of designs.

The light has three modes--bright, less bright, and flashing.

Overall, the unit works well, and I expect many people will find it useful.

Gavadi Leather Belt

This is a leather belt that I received at no charge in exchange for this review.

The belt seems to be made with a reasonably good quality leather. What's unique about this belt is that instead of traditional holes and a traditional belt buckle that includes a prong that is inserted through the holes, this belt has a completely different buckling mechanism. The belt slides into the buckle, and then "clicks" into any of a number of positions, with notched indentations on the back of the belt. There is a release mechanism that allows the belt to slide out. (If one does not use the release mechanism, the belt can be tightened but not loosened.)

The belt arrived in a nice drawstring pouch, in a solidly made black gift box, with gold lettering. The packaging is certainly suitable if one wanted to purchase this belt as a gift.

One concern I have is whether or not the notches will wear down a bit with regular usage. I know that with traditional belts I have owned, the hole used most frequently winds up expanding, due to wear. This is generally not a big problem with traditional leather belts. If the notches on this belt wear out, however, one would not be able to use the belt at that length, and would need to select a different notch / length.

The belt itself, and the buckle are attractive. If you'd like to try a belt with a different buckling mechanism, this might be a good one to try.
