Lecxci Women's Leather Purse

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZAW2CP

I received this leather purse, in brown, in exchange for this review.

The leather quality seems OK, but it is nothing spectacular. The inside of the purse is lined in most places, though the inside of the main flap is not lined.

The main problem I have with this purse is the closing mechanism. The loop-latch is difficult to work, and the entire setup feels like it is backwards. (The loop part should be attached to the flap, and the button should be on the main portion of the bag.) My wife agrees that there is just something very awkward about this method of securing the purse.

The main compartment inside the purse has two "pockets", but neither is large enough to hold a cellphone, which I see as another shortcoming. There is a zippered compartment on the inside and one on the back as well.

Overall this is not a bad purse but it's also not a great one. If the closing button and loop aren't going to bother you, and if you would be satisfied with a purse made from medium quality leather, this purse may be a good option for you.

SoundPEATS P4 Bluetooth Speaker

https://www.amazon.com/SoundPEATS-Bluetooth-Portable-Wireless-Speakers/dp/B01N06S8AC

I received this SoundPEATS P4 portable bluetooth speaker at no charge in exchange for this review. Overall, it is a pretty good, pretty solidly made bluetooth speaker.

The volume is controlled by turning a dial at the top of the speaker. The maximum volume is quite loud from the unit's two 5 Watt speakers, and the sound quality sounds fine to me, though I am no audiophile.

You can also move to the next track or the previous track by sliding your finger across the top of the unit. The location to slide is printed on the top of the unit, but even so, I found this to work a bit sporadically. If you don't slide your finger in exactly the correct way, nothing happens.

To pause playback, you must briefly press the power button, which is on the bottom of the unit. It's not near the bottom, on an accessible part of the speaker. It is "underneath" the speaker, so you must lift the speaker in order to pause whatever is playing. Pause is a pretty commonly used function, so I think a pause button should have been included on the top of the unit, with the other controls.

There is an area where the micro USB charging cable, which is included, can be plugged in. The same area has a spot to plug in a standard auxiliary input/output cable.

The light on the unit is lit blue when it is on, and red when it is charging. It turns green when fully charged. (It also turns a pretty purplish color when on and charging at the same time.)

In addition to the issue I have with the location of the pause button, the other reason I am rating this a four-star product and not a five-star product is that unlike some similar products, it can't be used as a charger, to charge other devices. It has a 2000 mAh battery, which would not really be large enough to charge much of anything else. The manufacturer claims ten hours of play time from this battery.

Overall this is a pretty good bluetooth speaker for the cost. It did pair easily, on the first try, with my Windows 10 computer. If you don't have an issue with the limitations I mentioned, you would probably be happy with this speaker.

Apes iPhone 7 Leather Case

https://www.amazon.com/APES-Genuine-Leather-Protective-7-iPhone/dp/B01LZHK79K

This is a pretty good, pretty high-quality leather iPhone 7 case. I received this case at no charge, in exchange for this review.

The positive things about this case are the quality of the leather, the fact that the iPhone7 fits well, even when in a thin case, and the fact that it has a good swivel belt clip to allow the phone to be carried vertically or horizontally. The one negative, and the reason this is a four-star review and not a five-star review, is that the only closure is a magnetic closure. My concern is that if the phone case is being worn horizontally, gravity could cause the phone to slide out if the magnetic closure does not hold. I recognize that the magnetic closure is probably a compromise between security and ease of use/access. Even so, I would be a little concerned about using this case in the horizontal position.

I will say that the phone, within its own case, did seem to fit quite snugly, so my concern may be unfounded.

Apes iPhone 7 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

https://www.amazon.com/Protector-APES-Compatible-Tempered-Anti-Scratch/dp/B01M7O7RSY

This is a very basic tempered glass screen protector that I received at no charge in exchange for this review. Unlike the picture that the company uses to advertise this product on Amazon, it does not include the extra hole to the left of the cutout for the speaker. So please bear that in mind.

The protector comes with only the very basics that all screen protectors like this come with for installation: a wet wipe, a dry wipe, and some stickers. Other, better screen protectors also include micro fiber cloths and hard cards to help remove air bubbles after installation.

This protector also has the problem that many do in that it does not extend far enough to the edges of the iPhone 7.

This is a decent screen protector, but there are better ones out there.
